SPOKEN 4 QUARTET, with Grammy and Dove Award Winner Tommy Fairchild, will be in concert with their powerful vocals and rich four part harmony at First Christian Church. The rich musical heritage, genuine emotion, and quality showmanship of this extraordinary group is evident as they give all they have at every concert they perform across the country. Tommy Fairchild is a legend in Southern Gospel Music and has won numerous Grammy Awards and Dove Awards. He has performed in 60 foreign countries, twice inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, won the Singing News Fan Award, the Living Legend Award, and was inducted into the Piano Roll of Honor. He has played at the Presidential Prayer Breakfast, in both houses of Congress, and for the Supreme Court. He has appeared on several major television shows, and played at the Billy Graham Calgary Crusade and at the New York World's Fair. He has received several "Keys to the City" and similar awards and recognitions from around the world. The late JD Sumner (who sung bass for Elvis), was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's lowest bass. Upon retiring, Sumner once said of bass singer Cecil Stringer, who sings the deep powerful bass for Spoken 4 Quartet, that he was one of two deserving of the title of World's Lowest Bass. Cecil has sung with many of Southern Gospel's top groups. Jeremy Wilkerson who sings Baritone, has also sung with some of the top groups in the country, including the Dixie Melody Boys. Lead singer Jon Charles Taggert was with the notable Cumberland Quartet who performed in Silver Dollar City throughout the year. Audiences are enjoying the high tenor vocals of the newest member of the group, Thomas Griffin who owned the gospel group New Day Quartet until 2006. Spoken 4 Quartet's performance is known to be dynamic, energetic, and inspirational, with lots of on stage humor that attracts audiences as they travel nationwide performing concerts throughout the year.
