And now for something completely different: a Saturday afternoon Flickr Meetup and Photostroll!

This month we're going to meet on a Saturday afternoon and see if we can't drag out more of you to join us. The food and drinks thing has been working pretty well but Thursday nights might not be everyone's cup of tea.

We'll start at 1pm at Ivar's Seafood on Alaskan Way and walk north to Pike Place Market. Our late lunch will be at Copacabana, a fantastic South American restaurant above the Market. (In the event of anything more than a misty drizzle, we'll just meet at the north end of the market.)

For those of you who haven't attended, our meetups tend to attract anywhere from 6-13 people...men and women, young and old, and there's a lot of laughter, beer, great food and conversation. We've had Flickr celebrities, visitors from other countries (as well as Portland, which can seem like a foreign country) and they often go well past their scheduled endings.

C'mon out, bring your gear, and meet your fellow Flickrites as we stroll Alaskan Way looking for interesting shots and then top it off with mojitos and some spicy South American food.

December's Meetup is earlier in the month due to the holidays. The January and subsequent Meetups will return to the usual fourth-Thursday schedule.
