This year, the Mission Neighborhood Center, is proud to introduce ZONA VERDE -the GREEN ZONE Festival - as part of it's Carnaval celebration. ZONA VERDE is an exciting and interactive educational event dedicated to bringing attention to environmental issues in a celebratory manner that reflects the spirit of Carnaval. This eco-friendly zone will spread over one city block (60,000 sq feet) making it the largest outdoor green event in the city's history. ZONA VERDE brings together green installations, renewable energy, earth-friendly products, organic food, and enlightening performance. Come participate in ZONA VERDE, our creative two-day extravaganza of education, celebration, and healing dedicated to protecting and restoring our urban and natural environment.
