CONEXPO-CON/AGG and IFPE show management made a pre-show report this week that included the following data:
Total show registration is tracking strong and is 48 percent ahead of 2005 numbers for the same time period. Trend lines indicate the shows have a great opportunity to exceed the 2005 attendance total of 125,000.
Education is an important aspect of the show experience, and registration for show education is tracking 20 percent higher than 2005 numbers.
Exhibit space for both shows continue to set records. CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008 will be the largest show in North America for 2008 of any industry, and IFPE 2008 is also a record breaker.
CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008 indoor and outdoor exhibit space combined is now more than 2.293 million net square feet, some 22 percent ahead of the 2005 show total. The IFPE 2008 current exhibit space total of nearly 129,000 net square feet is more than 15 percent higher than the 2005 show.
It is estimated that 17 billion pounds of equipment and exhibit materials will be on the show floor of the 2008 CONEXPO-CON/AGG and IFPE.
