Kids, Teens and Families: Volunteer in Remembrance of 9/11
Sunday September 27, 2009 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Brooklyn Public Libary, Central Library
Grand Army Plaza
Brooklyn, New York 11238 Get Directions
To start the school year off right, we will complete service projects to celebrate diversity – while also thanking those who protect us, in honor of September 11th. Decorate “Bilingual Bookmarks” for speakers of diverse languages at the library, make cards to welcome new immigrants to NYC, and create cards for first responders to thank them for their service.

Children for Children’s Service Projects of the Month are a free opportunity for kids, teens, the general public, and CFC’s Children’s Action Board (CAB) to volunteer in the greater NYC community. Ages 5 – 18, accompanied by an adult if under 13. If youth volunteer is attending without a parent/guardian, he or she should have a registration form signed in advance. Families welcome. For more information or to RSVP (groups of 10 or more), please contact Abby Huber at (212) 850-4170 or abby@childrenforchildren.org.
