Berklee College of Music presents its third annual party at the SXSW Music Festival and Conference, Friday, March 14, 1:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. at Friends, located at 208 E. 6th Street, Austin, TX. Berklee’s SXSW Party is 21+, free of charge, and open to SXSW badge holders. SXSW wristband holders and the general public can rsvp to alumniaffairs@berklee.edu to attend.

This year’s party features Berklee, Berkleemusic, and Heavy Rotation Records alumni and students performing in styles spanning rock, indie pop, folk, experimental, and acoustic music. Performers include Boston artists Brad Barr from The Slip, Hallelujah the Hills, The Peasantry (HRR), Madi Diaz (HRR), and The Bleedin Bleedins; New York bands Elizabeth & the Catapult (HRR), The Boy Bathing, and Via Audio; Track a Tiger from Chicago; and Austinites Bankrupt and the Borrowers, and Stephanie Delk, who will kick-off the show with her band, and host the party.

Free copies of Dorm Sessions Volume 5, the new compilation CD release by Berklee’s student-run label Heavy Rotation Records that features The Peasantry, will be available at the party. Additional giveaways include a First Act guitar, SanDisk Sansa MP3 players, Berkleemusic online courses, and Sonicbids memberships.
