Under the direction of percussion legend Zakir Hussain, the Masters of Percussion offers the audience an opportunity to experience both melodic (raga) and rhythmic (tala) development as well as witness the dazzling and athletic dancing drummers of Manipur. The concert will feature the traditional repertoire of North Indian drumming on tabla in solo and duet as well as excursions exploring the frontier between traditional and contemporary, folk and classical.

Must say this was a tremendous concert by any standards. The talent on stage was awesome and their attitude was so down to earth and audience friendly. They actually carried the audience on a journey through cultures, music, time and emotions. Zakir this was platinum. Kudos to you and your team members. Thank you. I would also like to express my thanks to the organizers of the event and would like to know how I can be on the email list (this time a friend happened to mention the concert).
