Westside Unitarian Universalist Church invites the public to share entertainment, games, food, raffles and other festive Earth-honoring events from 11 am – 5 pm April 12th. “Green Fest” will be held in the congregation’s new home in the Fairmont/Ryan Place neighborhood south of Fort Worth’s Medical District.
Among the offerings will be food and beverages for sale (cash only), music, games and crafts – outdoors if Mother Earth permits and indoors if she decides to rain.
Admission is free (while donations are welcome) to learn about ways to “go green” and green vendors in our area. Attendees can buy raffle chances to win services or baskets filled with green products, play games, create at crafts tables, listen to music and watch environment-themed films.
With this secular fundraiser the congregation celebrates and illustrates the Unitarian Universalist principle of respect for the interdependent web of all existence. Dedicated to religious pluralism, Unitarian Universalism honors all spiritual traditions that celebrate the sacred circle of life and instruct people to live in harmony with the rhythms of nature.
