Evenings at Village Gate second floor take a dimly lit and somewhat spooky air. Though that may not be so conducive to shopping, the space makes a good locale with unusual interior spaces for creative lighting and angles. In tribute to a wonderful blog, Strobist, we meet to shoot and experiment with off-camera lighting. Like past Flickr Rochester meets, the ideal is collaborative. Bring what you can bring. Do what you can to help. Most of use are here to learn and have fun.

For food and refreshments, downstairs in the atrium are Bodhi's, California Rollin', Lento, and the new Gate House Cafe. Some of us plan to get dinner here at 6:30p and then catch up with everyone else. Across the courtyard also are Tex-Mex and pizza.

Just want to second the awesomeness of Gate House :) I've tried the burgers and the pizza, and they're both really good. I think someone had mentioned Bodhi's in the original discussion thread, but I'd definitely be up for Gate House if anyone would rather go there.
