Cleantech Open Symposium: 'One Person's Trash is Another's Treasure'
Tuesday October 20, 2009 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Oracle Conference Center
350 Oracle Parkway
Redwood City, California 94065 Get Directions
Innovative leaders and enterprises are turning the concept of pollution and waste on its head by finding ways to turn waste streams into revenue streams. Some are doing so by discovering entirely new ways that seemingly-unwanted byproducts of economic activity can be captured and transformed into valuable feedstock for other products and processes. Others are creating innovative new business models to unleash unrealized potential in the recycling and repurposing of "spent" material resources. How can entrepreneurs, corporations, investors, and researchers turn air, water, and waste "liabilities" into assets and transform industry landscapes while they do so? What are the opportunities and challenges, both in the U.S. and internationally, in this exciting and dynamic frontier of environmental entrepreneurship?

The evening will also include a showcase of utility, alumni, contestant, and sustainability booths, along with plenty of networking opportunities.

$30 online, $40 at the door, $15 for students with valid ID.
