The Persuasions are a monumental doo-wop, R & B and a cappella group that has inspired audiences and performers alike for over forty-five years. Transforming songs by U2, the Beatles and others with their unique style and substance into dynamic R&B a cappella, this quartet is innovative, original and beautiful. Together since they started singing on the stoops of Brooklyn in 1961, The Persuasions have released over 20 albums and have recorded or performed with artists including Bette Midler, Paul Simon and B.B. King. They’ve been dubbed the "Kings of A Cappella" by NPR and their vocal style has paved the way for today's platinum a cappella acts, Take 6 and Bobby McFerrin, as well as the retro-hip-hop style of Boyz II Men.
