Thursday October 29, 2009 from 4:00pm - 5:30pm
Art Institute of Portland
1122 NW Davis
Portland, Oregon 97209 Get Directions
While marketers scramble to grab the attention of young minds through social media channels, teachers are left scratching their heads. What is a teacher to do in this age of the Internet? Dan Chapman is a teacher and assistant department director for the Web Design and Interactive Media program at the Art Institute of Portland, but more importantly, he’s a millennial. He will be sharing what he’s learned about working with millennial students, the generation gap, using technology to strengthen the student-teacher relationship, and the secret to winning the attention of students over Facebook.
