Ronny Cox is an active singer/songwriter who “moonlights” as a well known movie, TV and stage actor. You may have seen him as the guitar playing adventurer in Deliverance where he got his start. You could have seen him as Woody Guthrie's pal in Bound for Glory or as the lead detective in Beverly Hills Cop. He appeared in RoboCop, Taps, Total Recall, Murder at 1600 (one of his five roles as president of the United States) and many more. On TV he plays Kinsey in Stargate SG1, had a year long role on St. Elsewhere, and has appeared in Desperate Housewives, Star Trek and had more than 80 other major roles.
Appearing with him for the musical concert that evening will be a true musical genius well known to many of you. South Carolinian Jack Williams, guitarist/singer/songwriter/storyteller, is outstanding among a handful of artists who stand head and shoulders above the many performers flooding today's folk circuit. Jack has appeared on the Lyric stage twice before and once at a local house concert. “I have seen him each time he has been here,” said Ken Bailey, former director for the Lyric, “and of all the great acoustic guitar singer/songwriter artists to appear on our stage, I count Jack as perhaps the cream of the crop. I have five of his CDs and listen to them all the time.”
Acting seminar at 3:00pm that afternoon. $15.00 will get you access to both events.
