The year is 2012, the internet has been forbidden for personal use by the United Global Corporate Party, those of us who still have jobs involving computers are little more than temporary fill-ins for other computers our companies don't yet have enough money to buy and our only remaining hope for a lasting joy in this world is to gorge our frail human bodies on as much dessert, junk food, caffeine and booze as we can.
Yes, The Langpad is hosting a party, late Christmas night no-less, 11pm+. After you've had your dinners and familial warmth and whatever, come partake in the perils of the modern world in style at The Langpad's Postmas Party.
Chris and I will be taking over the top floor and the entire bottom floor will be free of non-partying human life, and if Weather Systems, Inc., allows for a rain-free evening we will be resurrecting the age-old tradition known as "campfire" as well.
Festivities will include a significantly stocked liquor bar and cafe, tasty treats of yore and classic films (pre-Global Unification) via projector, although guests are welcome to bring fitting liquors and snacks. The abundance of space will likely result in the ability to hold quite a few people who don't want to attempt to make it home in the evening, so those coming from outside of the city or driving in general should feel welcome to make use of it.
Topics of discussion should include life post-internet and pre-internet, stories that start with 'last time I was this drunk,' or 'remember that time when,' and not include any of the topics that marked the downfall of our individuality in that fateful year of 2005.
