The global development community is dedicated to transformational change in the world. Collaboration is more important now than ever. This conference will harness the energy of Washington State’s global development advocates. Nicholas Kristof will give the keynote address.

Nicholas D. Kristof, a columnist for The New York Times since November 2001, writes op-ed columns that appear twice a week. He recently published a book with his wife about women in the developing world entitled Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide. Previously, he was associate managing editor of The Times, responsible for the Sunday Times.
