Microformats vEvent aims to take the opportunity to gather together everyone interested or involved with the semantic web and showcase some of the latest developments in the area.
The evening will feature two short presentations by Tom Morris and Dan Brickley who’ll discuss specific aspects of microformats in conjunction with other semantic web technologies. There should be plenty of time for questions and discussion. (See event site for full details)
The rest of the evening is strictly social, with the chance to mingle and chat with like-minded folks.
I feel the event was advertised incorrectly, as in fact both presentations dealt with RDF and the semantic web, rather than Microformats as defined on microformats.org. I also found the technical level of the presentation too high.
