Take metro line 6 to Yuanshen Stadium Station. Then follow your nose. Line 6 opened at the end of 2007 - check www.exploreshanghai.com to find out which lines connect with it.

HOW TO GET TICKETS:

Usually there are plenty available from scalpers on the streets - only the biggest games, against Beijing, Dalian or Shandong may sell out, and even then there's usually tickets still available. You'll be approached several times on the way to the ground, so if you can't get one for 30rmb or less from the first guys you meet, walk away and try your luck with the next sellers. If you are late and the game has already kicked off, you can get them much cheaper, below 20rmb in some cases.
