French Wines Discovery: Loire Valley Wine Class
Tuesday June 10, 2008 from 6:30pm - 8:00pm
Washington Club
15 Dupont Circle (The Patterson House)
Washington, District of Columbia 20007 Get Directions

The Loire valley is longest and probably the most diverse wine region of France.

In the East, Sancerre and Quincy are home to spectacular Sauvignon Blanc.

In the Touraine area (Chinon, Bourgeuil), Cabernet Franc deliver complex wines.

The Chenin Blanc grape is declined in dry and sweet in appellations such as
Coteaux du Layon or Quart de Chaume.

Further west, near the Atlantic coast, we discover the Muscadet grape and wine, and Gros Plant perfect match to the local seafood.

The class includes a tasting of 6 wines, cheese and crackers during the tasting.

This is part of a six events series. Get a discount in buying the 6 French Wines Discovery tasting.

This event is organized in collaboration with the French Wine Society
