On July 7, the Green Valley Youth Choir from Syndey, Australia will be visiting the United States as part of their 40th Anniversary World Tour. Their very first stop stateside will be for a concert at First Church of Winsted, Connecticut! The concert will be at 7 PM at the church at 95 North Main Street in Winsted. There will be a free will offering to help them defray expenses.
Award winning Australian singer/songwriter Helen Mottee will join up with the choir in Helsinki, and fly with the choir for the USA sections of the tour. Helen has written a song that was adopted by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees entitled, "Do You," which the choir has recorded and will be performing for the concert.
They will be arriving at JFK airport on July 6, after having performed in Hong Kong, Austria, Sweden and Poland. Performing in Winsted, and then heading off to Virginia Beach for two concerts, then Madison, Alabama and finally to Riverside, Oakhurst and Anaheim, California where they will be performing at Disney Land!
