Sweet and Nasty celebrates PT Anderson at "There Will Be Boobs"

Dateline: 1993 After only two days at NYU film school, a young Paul Thomas Anderson demands the return of his tuition money and quits the program to embark on a career that is, within barely two decades, to produce several of the greatest films of his generation. Now, on Monday, November 16, a cast of blindingly fabulous, brilliantly beautiful and remarkably absurd burlesque dancers, lounge singers and downtown artstars will pay homage to the man and his work, as Sweet and Nasty Burlesque presents THERE WILL BE BOOBS: a striptease salute to PT Anderson.

THERE WILL BE BOOBS will feature tassel-twirling tributes to pudding, pornography, anger management, oil wells, motivational speakers, milkshakes and more. "We may not have Tom Cruise or Julianne Moore or even Adam Sandler," says host and producer Nasty Canasta, "but what we do have is pair of roller skates, a stolen bowling ball, a bag of plastic frogs, and a fabulous cast of performers inspired by Mr. Anderson's films to get naked and do truly stupid things onstage."

Since 2006, Sweet and Nasty has been adding its own unique mix of glam camp, historical fact, and blatant lies to the New York burlesque scene, and currently appears monthly at Public Assembly in Williamsburg; their November spectacular THERE WILL BE BOOBS is the centerpiece of a jam-packed night of couple-friendly, risqué entertainment that will begin with go-go by Ginger Brown at 9:30 pm, and continue after the show with tunes from DJ Broadway Brassy.

Clams Casino, Darlinda Just Darlinda, Mel & Fanny Frye, Sapphire Jones, Bastard Keith, Victoria Privates, Madame Rosebud and your host Nasty Canasta will boogie all night at THERE WILL BE BOOBS - at Public Assembly for one night only, Monday, November 16 at 10pm.
