My dad had the gastro bypass surgery I think in 2004 well he went home from the hospital and decided to try to pull himself up out of bed when he felt something pop inside his stomach with alot of pain.he went to the restroom and began pooring blood.they rushed him to the hospital and he sit there for many hours until his wife (my mom)noticed him turning the color of white do to lose of blood they rushed him to give him fuilds and blood transfusions then went from there to get a infection called vre worst then staff and said he was very sick and didnt know if he would return home just was gonna die.and sent him to another place as we thought for him to get better but to really just die.the infection was taken care of by antibotics and he got better but we began to notice he could not use his legs or arms he later got stronger in his legs and could walk alittle better but had to have help getting around.but he has to be feed the nerves in his arms were died not sure how that happened but we have a idea they left his arms straight out like Jesus on a cross do to fluid and the arms being there 2 long killed the nerves in the arms for permanet damage.he later went to the nursing home for therpy and got his strength to walk some but later went home so he has home nursing to be bathed and feed him.later on down the road he fell and broke his hip and had surgery to have that fixed and got were he was walking again.But found his leg turning outwards and hurting to walk they said his hip had come loose and he must go in for a 5 hour surgery to prepare it but do to a stomach virus he will be going in at a later date to prepare the hip then he will return once more to nursing home for therpy.My dad's insurance has cut him from his nursing and said they make to much money for food stamps and don't make enough to pay there bills so my dad need this benefit to help them pay there medical & finacial bills and by food.
