"We’ve always been mad about Mona’s, which started as a funky little neighborhood dining room then expanded to encompass an intimate lounge featuring live jazz weekly. The mahogany bar is attractive, the lounge separated from the green-stippled, votive-lit dining room by plush velvet curtains. Service is friendly, generally crisp, attentive and knowledgeable, and though chefs have come and gone, the food has remained satisfying. Tapas, available in the lounge, tantalize.
