This year The University of Akron Dance Company welcomes alumni Amy Miller from GroundWorks Dance Theater. Ms. Miller, a former Ohio Ballet dancer, is this year’s recipient of Outstanding Artist in Dance by the Akron Area Arts Alliance. Amy will be working with student dancers to choreograph a world premiere piece and sister piece to her popular work Valence. The UADC dance concert also features works by new UA faculty member Robin Prichard, and esteemed faculty, Tom Smith and Cydney Spohn. The concert includes entertaining and thought provoking modern dance and contemporary ballet.
