San Francisco, California 94102 Get Directions
San Francisco Art Exchange (SFAE), in association with Raj Prem Fine Art Photography, will celebrate a collection of works by photographer Ethan Russell and others to commemorate the political, social and musical era that culminated in 1969. Russell will be at SFAE, the internationally renowned gallery that specializes in iconic imagery from the culture of the 20th and 21st centuries, for the opening event.

SFAE will unveil some of Russell’s never-before-seen images of John Lennon, Yoko Ono, and The Rolling Stones. Russell will share his experiences working with the famous musicians, as well as participating in and observing the independence, creativity, and adventurous spirit of the times. SFAE will also display Russell’s photos of Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, and English supergroups Cream and the Dirty Mac – artists who helped to musically define the era. Other works in the show will include those of photographers Iain Macmillan, Elliott Landy, Bob Seidermann, David Redfern, Baron Wolman and Lisa Law.
