Viva la Musica! choir, orchestra and soloists will present Magnificent Bach and Holiday Lights in concert Saturday, Dec. 19, and Sunday, Dec. 20, at Carrington Hall on the campus of Sequoia High School, 1201 Brewster Avenue at Broadway, Redwood City.

The Saturday performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. and the Sunday performance at 3 p.m. Director Shulamit Hoffmann will give a pre-concert talk half an hour before each performance. A reception with a holiday market will follow each show.

Fresh from a concert at Carnegie Hall, Viva la Musica! will offer Bach's Magnificat as its featured work. Soloists will include Deirdre Lobo D'Cunha, soprano; Casie Walker, soprano; Elspeth Frank, contralto; Corey Head, tenor; and Jordan Eldridge, bass. High-spirited lighter songs of the holiday season with a visual arts presentation will round out the program.
