LADIES AND GENTLEMEN…. your PERFORMERS

MORTIFIED

Produced by Egan & Susan Danehy & Megan Zabel

Mortified stars everyday people reading aloud their most embarrassing, pathetic and private teenage diary entries, poems, love letters, lyrics and locker notes… in front of total strangers. Witness “personal redemption through public humiliation” in a refreshing show that is equal parts comedic, cathartic and voyeuristic.

LORI FERRARO spends the holidays acting out both parts of “Baby It’s Cold Outside”, and making lists of things she wants or already has.

JIMMY RADOSTA is a self-helpless guru, an electoral college dropout and a part-time death panelist.

BACK FENCE PDX

Produced by B. Frayn Masters & Melissa Lion
Back Fence PDX is an evening with seven people telling true, unmemorized, eight-minute stories based on a theme. Hosts Melissa Lion and Frayn Masters present these true tales of missed connections, strip clubs, crazy love, odd religious upbringings and more at the Mission Theater in Northwest Portland.

DAYVID FIGLER is a recovering lawyer who defended indigent people facing the death penalty for far too long. After a year as a municipal court judge in Las Vegas he decided that sporadic commentaries on NPR and essays in places like Heeb magazine would be much more fun.

As an Intuitive Counselor, BRIDGET PILLOUD stands on the corner of common sense and woo-woo. She works with people. She works with pets. She also teaches and writes about intuition. Bridget was most recently seen in Ignite 6, with You can stop shitty little dog syndrome. She lives in Hillsdale with her sweetheart Brian, and their 3 kids, plus 3 dogs and 3 cats. You can find her here and here.

TRUE STORIES

Produced by Courtenay Hameister

True Stories is a memoir and music series that specializes in humor and humiliation. It was started in 2007 by Marc Acito and Courtenay Hameister so they would get some shit written, goddammit.

STACY BOLT is a Portland writer who can be seen and heard on OPB’s Live Wire and at the True Stories reading series. Her essays have appeared in Portland Monthly and Imbibe magazine and are archived, along with the occasional rant, on her blog These Things Happen.

SCOTT POOLE is the author of two books of poetry, Hiding from Salesmen and The Cheap Seats and a CD called My Suggestion. He is also the founding director of the Spokane and Portland Book Festivals. Currently, he is the “house poet” for OPB’s Live Wire! radio program.
