The weather outlook for this coming weekend, just like the past one, looks absolutely fabulous. Blue skies, brisk fresh air and a sweet smell of crunchy leaves on the grounds of local forests.
So, let's hike while we still can.
Our hikes are always challenging but appropriate for hikers of all levels, even children and beginners. The hikers need to be in good physical shape. We make sure the elevation brigs a sweat out of out bodies expands our lungs and provides fat-burning workout effect. For that reason we do not recommend including children younger then age 6 years old to the group hike as we will be moving swiftly. The hikes are usually about 4-6 miles long and take about 3-6 hours to complete The hikes are led by an experienced hiker Bibiana, who is also certified nutritional consultant with many years of practice and large clientele. Bibiana also holds a current CPR and AED certification. With bigger groups of guest hikers, we provide an additional hike leader who acts as a sweeper making sure the group stays together. During the lunch break Bibiana gives a lecture on various nutritional topics such as digestion, proper diet and hydration, immunity, supplementation and more.
HIKE DETAILS:
Mount Minsi, PA
This a bold hike that uses a stretch of the Appalachian Trail (AT) as it weaves along the ridge of the Delaware Water Gap, at one point taking hikers to an overlook 1,000 feet above the Delaware River. This is one of the most—if not the most—rugged section of the AT in Pennsylvania. There are heart-stopping views of the Delaware Water Gap, the Delaware River, and the Interstate 80 bridge across the Delaware. From the summit, look across the Gap to Mount Tammany and Kittatinny Ridge in neighboring New Jersey. Terrain: Follow a typical mountain footpath over rocks and through outcroppings; climb along the rocky edge of a water gap for impressive views.
