There's no info on Ladytron's page about this show (tour?), so I hope this is a real show and not a DJ set like last time. Mezzanine lists this as Ladytron (Live), so that's pretty good indication that this is a real live set of super magic awesomeness created before our very eyes.
From the ticket ordering page: After a 3 plus year absence from recording and touring, Electro Synth Rockers Ladytron return in better form than ever. Their brand new release, "Witching Hour" has made just about every critic?s top ten list of 2005. There may be shoegazy shades of Young Marble Giants, early Stereolab and the Cocteau Twins within the new album, yet the references remain oblique rather than obvious and it?s as much their development as a live band as their previous studio albums that informs the feel and swirling atmospheres of Witching Hour. It is the sound of an electronic band rediscovering their leftfield indie roots, experimenting and enlarging their palette of sound. It is serenely beautiful at times, noisy and disturbing at others; just like all the best records should be. This is a collection of songs that will cool you down in the summer and keep you warm in those dark winter months. Ladytron just fulfilled their potential. Prepare to fall in love with them all over again.
(Pitchfork) Kati Llewellyn reports:
For the first time since 2003, Liverpool-based boy/girl synth-pop fashion show Ladytron will tour the U.S.-- as a an actual live band, not as DJs.
