Lots of people in the North East seem to be messing about with Arduino boards (www.arduino.cc) so I thought it would be fun to get people together for a day, bring down our boards, bags of old electronics, laptops and coffee pots, and see what comes up.
The date is now fixed on the 18th and the location is near Chillingham Road metro, confirmed by email if you are coming. If you're in or around Newcastle Upon Tyne, interested in circuit bending, open source electronics, processing.org and all that jazz, why not get in touch. Message me for more details.
EDIT: Have sources solar panel, RGB LEDS, box of old kit, small amplifier and a few other bits and pieces. If we can't make something cool, I'll eat my board.
If your interested, I can set-up my Arduino to serve EEML data over the web from Tring - light sensor data most likely. Then you guys can do something interesting with actuators at your end ;) . http://eeml.org/
BTW... I'm going to be talking about EEML and Pachube at barCampLondon4
@sctv don't worry I'll publish my own - non pachube - feed for you guys to hack with on the 17th - so there shouldn't be any access problems. I'll post the url in due course.
