A Ghost Story of Christmas Lights up the Holiday Season at The Egyptian Theatre This Holiday season, the Egyptian Theatre Company presents its dazzling version of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol-A Ghost Story of Christmas adapted by Michael Wilson and original music by John Gromada. Former Artistic Director Dana Durbano directs this regional premiere with Shelle Jennings as musical director. Long time veteran of the stage, Steve Phillips portrays Scrooge in this colorful, comical and music-filled telling of Charles Dickens' "ghostly little book". Dickens classic tale is a heart-warming and bone-schilling story for audiences of all ages, and has become one of the most popular and enduring Christmas stories of all time. Not your ordinary Christmas Carol, this production is spiced with dancing apparitions and a Wizard of Oz like storyline putting a new twist on the classic. This yuletide favorite centers on the stingy, miserly Ebenezer Scrooge who is visited on Christmas Eve by the spirit of Marley, his deceased business partner, as well as ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future. Each ghostly spirit plays a part in Scrooge's journey of redemption. This production boasts a cast of over 30 characters including Gary Cole, Joan Townsend, Michael Labertew, and Stephanie Ogden as the carolers. Steve Phillips as Scrooge, Jeffery Owen as Bob Crachit, JJ Pearson as Marley, Diana Dunkley, The Ghost of Christmas Past, Jayceen Craven, The Ghost of Christmas Present, and Scooter Mastain, The Ghost of Future and Ellie Fischer as Tiny Tim among others.
