Volksmarch

To inaugurate the superb walking trail that was installed this past fall in and around the Sheridan/Pershing Road parade fields and the Replica Museum, MWR will host a Volksmarch on Saturday May 31. Everyone is welcome! Participants will choose their pace and walk 5 or 10 kilometers (3/6.2 miles) on the new path. MWR will offer a medal as an incentive award and souvenir of the event. Since this Volksmarch will be an AVA sanctioned event, distances and event participation can be recorded in the IVV record books. At the walk there will be check points along the route where you can get water and rest. A small fee will be required in order to receive the incentive award. Start time will begin from 8-11 a.m. The start and stop point will be at the Officers' Club parking lot where beverages and food will be available for purchase. For more information call 569-6774.
