Sts Kiril & Methody Bulgarian Festival

The Bulgarian community gathers at the Croatian American Cultural Center to celebrate their culture, and honor the Saints Kiril & Methody. There is Bulgarian music, dancing, and delicious samples of Bulgarian food and wine. It is a day of appreciation for all art, science and knowledge. There are garlands of flowers woven by children, and bread is shared with all. Artists from neighboring cultures are invited to join.

Special guests of the Festival will be Radostina Koneva and Orchestra LUDI MALDI from Las Vegas. Radostina is one of Bulgaria's leading Thracian style singers. Other members of the band are; Angel Gadzhev, gadulka, vocal: Zhelyazko Georgiev, gaida, vocal; Kristian Aleksandrov, keybord, kaval; Lubomir Trifonov, kaval; and guest Rumen Sali Shopov, percussionist, tambura, vocal

4:00PM - 6:00 PM Dance and music workshops. Kids workshop.
4:00PM Bulgarian traditional food and drink available - Bar open.
5:00PM Weaving the traditional garland of flowers - students' performances.
6:00 PM Procession of the GOLDEN ICON of Sts Kiril & Methody. Dalmacijo Singers.
7:00 PM Performance.
Las Vegas' LUDI MLADI Folk Band - Special guest of the Festival, first time in Bay Area, BEBELEKOV'S FAMILY and FRIENDS, NESTINARI

9:00 PM PARTY. Bands in two rooms!
VERNA DRUJINA, SHARENA ZEMYA, and more to come!

$15, children free.
