Come help the girls celebrate the completion of another successful Detroit Derby Girls bout at PJ’s Lager House! On Saturday, May 31, the DDG take on Grand Rapids’ Grand Raggidy Roller Girls at the Masonic Temple. The after-party admission is free with the night’s roller derby ticket stub! The Fondas headline. Come check out their first show in awhile! The group features the soulful vocalist stylings of Julie Benjamin in front of garage pop power riffs. Their debut album “Coming Now!” was released on the well-regarded Sympathy For The Record Industry. The Fondas feed off a musical legacy that runs from New Orleans, snakes through Memphis and ends up in our own hot-wired and rebuilt Motor City.
