Dead Betties, Honeyhander, Blammo, Bill Bones, Zero Bridge
Thursday February 16, 2006 from 8:00pm - 1:00am
Sin-E
150 Attorney St.
New York City, New York Get Directions
$8 for 5 great bands from all over the US, including headliners The Dead Betties (acclaimed art-punk trio on Heartcore and Chainsaw) and Honeyhander (post-industrial dance noise on SAF Records).

"(The Dead Betties are) good. so good that I refuse to share the goodness with people I deem not worthy.. They have a really strong sexy bass presence similar to that of Pixies. The way melodies are pronounced through hard rock thrashcore is also comparable to Hole's "Pretty on the Inside". Although The Dead Betties has a large influence in 90's punk and indie, it's not to say they are a 90's knock off. If there is one word to describe them it is "authentic". In a sentence, Summer of 93' sounds like the bastard hardcore child produced out of sweet orgy love with Nirvana, My Bloody Valentine, and riot grrrl Hole/Babes in Toyland." - Yokonightmare Zine

"Like a three-legged mutant, Rhode Island's Honeyhander has its feet planted firmly in the roots of industrial, electronic keyboard pop, and post-punk guitar noise. Chances are, upon listening to Honeyhander's EP, Woolly Mannerisms, you'd guess that they might have the following CD's on their racks: Marilyn Manson, Depeche Mode, and Fugazi. Honeyhander stunningly dabble in all of their sounds, with distorted vocals, early `80s keyboards, and thrashing guitars. All of this is jarring at first, but upon further listens, the EP becomes a stirring cacophony of genres, all mixed to seamless perfection." - Treble Zine
