Adler Planetarium and Astronomy Museum
1300 S Lake Shore Dr
Chicago, Illinois 60605 Get Directions
3-D is more than just a gimmick used for entertainment purposes, scientists use some of the same 3-D techniques found in movies, along with other technologies, to explore the Universe in ways that were not possible before. '3-D Vision: Imaging the Universe' examines some of these state-of-the-art scientific visualizations - from close up on the surface of Mars, to the Big Bang, to the formation of galaxies with hundreds of billions of stars.
