Pedal Power
Saturday April 10, 2010 from 10:00am - 5:00pm
Discovery Center of the Southern Tier
60 Morgan Rd
Binghamton, New York 13903 Get Directions
Lots of people know how to ride a bike, but few know exactly how they do it. The Discovery Center's exhibit Pedal Power investigates the simple machines that make up the workings of the bicycle with an exciting investigation of the evolution of the hobby horse to what we know as the bicycle of today. Children will learn about the inventions that were made along the way, the social changes that came about all because of the two wheeled machine and some important safety tips to keep riders on the bike path to fitness. They can try a bicycle built for two, power up an appliance by pedaling and gear up for fun.
