Town Hall Meeting with Chris Van Hollen
Monday February 13, 2006 from 7:30pm - 9:00pm
Upcounty Regional Services Center
12900 Middlebrook Road
Germantown, Maryland 20874 Get Directions
Rep. Chris Van Hollen will is convening a town hall meeting for residents of the Eighth Congressional District. Important issues that will be reported on include: war with Iraq, Social Security, education, health care, gang violence, the economy, homeland security, disaster preparedness and transportation.

The meeting has been rescheduled at the last minute to be held at the Upcounty Regional Services Center (same building as the library) in Germantown, Maryland. This was necessary due to a county policy that automatically closes schools to evening events when the school is closed during the day for weather and other reasons.

Sounds like it will be quite a meeting.

Please note this is a new locale for this meeting. The change of venue was necessary.

Be careful driving to and from the meeting.

Some back streets in Germantown were quite slippery this morning. The snow which came in this weekend, was cleared. But then some on the sides of the road melted and refroze.

While the main roads to get to the meeting from the I-270 will probably be fine, your local streets on the way there might be refrozen anew from this afternoon's snow melting.
