CreamCity: Milwaukee Photowalk
Saturday May 17, 2008 at 3:00pm
Steny's Tavern and Grill
800 S. 2nd St.
Milwaukee, Wisconsin Get Directions
This is the monthly meeting of the Flickr group, CreamCity: Milwaukee.

This is a meeting of people who enjoy photography and taking photos. There is no skill level required, and the only required equipment is a camera of some kind, and that you share your results with the group afterwards on the Flickr forum.

Details:
According to the visit Milwaukee website:

"Walker's Point, listed in the National Register of Historic Places as Milwaukee's first National Historic District, and coined "Milwaukee's oldest neighborhood," today is a neighborhood with a skyline dominated by steeples, and an assortment of historic homes, art galleries, and a mouth-watering variety of ethnic restaurants. Located in Walker's Point is one of Milwaukee's most notable landmarks, the Allen-Bradley building, which has resting at its top, the largest four-sided clock in the world, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Walker's Point has a very vibrant Latino community, offering many Mexican and Caribbean dining options. Stop in at one of these popular establishments and enjoy some of the best food in the city."

Well, with those glowing remarks, how can you go wrong, eh?

Date: May 17

Time: Meet at 3:00ish PM; Walk begins approximately one or two beers later, meaning promptly at 3:24 PM

Where: 800 S 2nd St, Milwaukee, WI 53204

In the event of inclement weather (although we almost never have bad weather, do we?), we'll shorten things up in the interest of preserving the end results of your tax rebate, which I assume will be arriving shortly from B&H Photo.

We'll need an ending spot, so maybe think about which one y'all would like. We have some route options, so either something on 5th Street, or maybe Slim McGinn's, would work out. We're probably better off figuring out something in advance with the size the group has become.

If you have a question, please feel free to ask in the forum link below!
