The Design for Drupal initiative was born out of DrupalCon DC where a group of designers and themers united to share ideas on how to make designing in Drupal better.

Drupal Design Camp is about enabling designers and themers to do great stuff, coordinate efforts, come up with crazy ideas, and build a movement to make Drupal beautiful. The objective of Drupal Design Camp Boston is to provide opportunities for web designers, themers, usability professionals, information architects, project managers, developers, and web companies to share their knowledge and to support the community.

Last year’s camp was the first Drupal event dedicated entirely to design and it was a huge success. To our delight, the event attracted an extended network of other Drupal professionals, not just designers, thereby strengthening the community in ways we had not anticipated.

Drupal Design Camp Boston is going to be offered again as a free event and entirely organized by volunteers. However, there are still costs associated with planning and production. Therefore, sponsorships are crucial to our success. All contributions go directly towards funding conference operation costs.
