Mark Priest is an Associate Professor of Painting and Drawing at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. His 'Nalle Series' was inspired by the story of Chales Nalle, an escaped slave who was aided by Harriet Tubman and hundreds of abolitionists in Troy, New York in 1860.
