Aperture, the Photography Deptartment of Parsons The New School for Design, and the Vera List Center for Art and Politics at The New School present an ongoing series of panel discussions, which is made possible, in part, by public funds from New York State Council for the Arts and from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and receives generous support from The Kettering Family Foundation and the Henry Nias Foundation.

Presenting multiple perspectives on the development of photojournalism over the last fifty years, this panel will discuss photojournalism, the press, and new directions in picture story telling. The panel marks the publication of Things as They Are?Photojournalism in Context Since 1955.

Moderator: Chris Boot, publisher

Panelists: Mary Panzer, author and historian; photojournalists and photographers TBA
