hello there. i would like to come along too. i am not a big geek at the moment, but am a big del.icio.us fan and was well chuffed to find this site though their blog. i am trying to teach myself some cool stuff for incorporating into art, and like to keep up to date. although i am new to upcoming.org , i am quite excited about it. must find out more... might pop down to Corner House on monday, but having bit of my foot removed on Friday (don't worry - it is not that serious) Tip: If you are tempted to eat at the cornerhouse please be warned about the sweet potato wedges; you get 5 for about four quid - a mega rip off. they are not not that nice either; they come with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce. I had some and the expereince anonyed me so much, i complained but you know... and they are frozen!!! Beer is good though.

the time is 10.48am as i write in the uk. do you think that the postings should be recorded in UK time?

The times are a bit misleading being in US format I guess, but that's where Upcoming is most popular so I guess it figures. Should probably be a per-user preference.
At least the ?What's New? column shows relative times (?1 hour ago? and so on)

As regards Monday: All are welcome and I will book a table at the Cornerhouse on Friday (probably for 8 people, to allow for those who've not indicated their attendance here). I'll provide more details once that's done.

And yes, the Cornerhouse food is quite expensive. Although I had Tai Fishcakes there yesterday an they were rather nice.

It is the bad menu that gets on my nerves. The menu at the Cornerhouse is wrong in so many ways. I wince at the though of dining with a Frenchman and him ordering a 5 chips with 2 dips. He would think we are crazy, uncultured fools. What about local fresh produce, and someone who can make stuff?

i am not a natural moaner. it will be interesting to see if the cornerhouse sees this. hello there if you are! i know it is contract catering company, relax! the Chinese buffet up the road on the left going towards St. Peters Sq. is good value though. ?5.00 during their happy hour. Great veggie choices too. Am a sinning here, going off topic? Excuse me if i am, i am new here.
