For people coming in via New Street Station and not accustomed to Birmingham, you'll want to:

* Head out of New Street Station and make your way to the Bull Ring shopping centre.

* Head to the middle of the Bull Ring by the church, go down the steps, take the left hand ramp, and you should be by an old-and-not-very-inviting pub (I believe also called the Bull Ring).

* Follow the road right heading away from the Bull Ring Shopping Centre. If you make any sharp turns after this you're probably going the wrong way.

* Keep walking for about five minutes, beyond the Audi dealership (after 1/2 minutes) and South Birmingham College (3/4 minutes). The Custard Factory is slightly further on, the Medicine Bar through the arch near reception.

You'll also go past a very nice giant Chinese supermarket, if you're into that sort of thing...

Thanks again for the directions/landmarks, guys - very helpful. =)

I wonder if we'll need our own room next time, given that we went from 10 people last time to 15 this - impressive growth!
