2nd Annual Build the HYP Gala

HYP's (Habitat Young Professionals) second annual fund raiser is a perfect place to spend Saturday night during Memorial Day Weekend. Last year's event was a blast and this year proves to be even bigger and better.

Here are some of the details:

- Takes place at the newly opened The Long Center overlooking Lady Bird Lake (formerly Town Lake) and downtown Austin. This is an incredible venue. If you have not been to see it yet, this is a great excuse.

- Doors open at 8 pm and the festivities last until 11 pm. Many of us will certainly continue the festivities in downtown Austin.

- Cocktail attire is encouraged (Take a look at the photos to see what people wore last year).

- Tickets include food and drinks from some of Austin's best restaurants, such as Moonshine, Taverna, III Forks, Melting Pot, Cool River, Z-Tejas, Rio Grande, Upper Crust Bakery, Wildwood Wine and Spirits, The Belmont, Cantina Laredo, J Black's, Teo's Gelato and Kenichi. - Live music and dancing provided by Sprung

- "Raise the roof" silent auction and great giveaways.

HYP is a diverse group of young professionals that have come together to volunteer, fund raise, and advocate for Austin Habitat and affordable housing. HYP has grown to over 200 members, raised more than $100,000.00 and logged more than 1,500 volunteer hours since forming in 2006. All are welcome to join.

Tickets are $75 for single and $125 for a couple.

I hope you will come to the event and support HYP and Austin Habitat while having a blast. If you are interested in coming, buy tickets early as there is some concern that tickets will sell out.
