Po3 (Promote. Perform. Play) is an after-hours event, in which a cross-section of DC's up-and-coming professionals and entrepreneurs has been invited to network and socialize in a casual environment. The event will have a DJ all night, along with a live performance by hip hop artist, SoulStice (http://www.wanderingsoul.com). This mixture is set to appeal to the creativity and diversity of the invitees who presumably maintain a balance between work and self, expressing who they are in what they do.
The promotions group personifies this mixture. Washington Career Services (WCS) (http://www.dccareerservices.com), co-founded by Susanne Eymer and Melissa Fireman, both graduates of local area Organizational and Counseling Psychology programs at Marymount and Johns Hopkins Universities. WCS specializes in organizational and career consulting for individuals, academia, and industry in the greater DC area.
Wandering Soul Records (http://www.wanderingsoul.com), a hip hop label currently based in DC, is headed by Ashley Llorens, who also happens to be an Electrical Engineer for the Department of Defense.
