Clay County Chili Cook Off

You are invited to participate in the Third Annual Chili Cook-off on March 11th, 2006 from 4:30-7:30 pm. This year the event is being hosted by the Peterson Sesquicentennial committee and the Clay County Networkers.

Bigger than last year, spread across all the Peterson Legion Community Center, with as many as 12 cooking teams will be offering tantalizing and sometimes tangy tastes of their own favorite chili recipes will be the 3rd Annual Clay County Networkers? Chili Cook-off & Silent Auction 2006.

An evening of great fun, food and merriment for the entire family. Open to the public to benefit and support the efforts of the Clay County Networkers and the August 2006 Peterson Sesquicentennial.

Everyone is given a tasting cup and spoon and can sample chili at as many of the booths as they wish. Drinks and snacks also will be available. No admission fee; free will donation. Chili Cook-off winners determined by popular vote! Team entries now being taken. Team entry fee is $2, and each team can have as many as 4 members. Teams can represent businesses, organizations or just groups of friends.

There is still time to BE a contestant. Win a trophy and bragging rights for having the best Chili in Clay County! Contestants from anywhere can enter and contestants are encouraged to decorate and promote their booth from a 6' table space. Last year?s Chili Cook-off winner was Royal's Silver Minnow. Will they be able to repeat the big win again this year?
