How to Kick People is hiring. Must know excel. This month we're celebrating Q2 productivity, the Douglass account, March birthdays, revised sexual harassment policy, the art of the career-sabotaging "blind CC", and corporate right-sizing, with How to Kick People: Hawaiian Shirt Day.

It's something everyone can relate to. We all have jobs, and those of us who don't have jobs probably aren't going to spend the $8 they just earned selling blood just to watch a fun comedy reading show.

Join your middle-managers, Bob Powers & Todd Levin, and their independent consultants: David Rees (creator of the comic strip, Get Your War On); Chelsea Peretti (co-host of Variety Shac, and fresh from the US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, CO); and Andy Borowitz. (creator of the Borowitz Report and contributor to Fired!, an anthology of tales about losing your career)

How To Kick People runs the last Wednesday of every month. It's a show for comedic storytellers and writers curated by Todd Levin and Bob Powers. Part reading series, part performance venue, each show is anchored by readings from Todd and Bob, and the lineup is chosen from New York's pool of authors, comedians, and performance artists.

Todd Levin is a writer and comedian. Todd's writing has been published in Salon, Modern Humorist, Glamour, The Onion, The Morning News and, all too frequently, on his own web site (www.tremble.com). Todd has performed stand-up comedy and read his work in venues all over NYC, including Eating It at Luna Lounge, CBS-NY, KGB Bar, Moonwork, The Upright Citizens Brigade theater, and at The U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. He has appeared on television, on Comedy Central's Premium Blend, and is presently writing his first collection of essays tentatively titled, The Boy With Perpetual Nervousness.

Bob Powers has been performing his standup and solo shows in New York and LA since 1996. Bob's first book, Happy Cruelty Day, will be published by Thomas Dunne Books in 2006. He?s performed and read at Eating It, PS 122, East Side Oral, the Improv Olympic West, and The U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. His writing has appeared in Flaunt Magazine, The New York Press, Jest Magazine and The Onion. Bob is also the creator of the website www.girlsarepretty.com.
