Anoop Sankar was born on the 22nd of May, 1979, in Kottayam district of Kerala to Mr. T. A. Sankar and Mrs. Latha Sankar. Mrs. Latha being a graduate in mathematics and an excellent singer herself, was fortunate that she was married to Mr. Sankar; who was highly musically inclined, though a chemical engineer by profession. And so, it came as no surprise when they learnt that Anoop had a great passion for music.
