THE CYCLOPS by Euripides
newly translated by Amy Wilson

Satyrs, sadism, and shadow puppets! Local scholar Amy Wilson offers a new translation of the world?s only extant satyr play, brimming with lusty comedy, salty wisdom, and bloody horror. When Odysseus and his men are shipwrecked on the Cyclops' Island, they find a horde of enslaved satyrs and a rather nasty one-eyed giant. When some of the men are eaten by the Cyclops, Odysseus resorts to spectacular stratagems to free his crew and escape the island. The wily one saves the day and everyone gets good and drunk.

Presented in glorious shadow-vision, with shadow puppets created by the Horsemeat
Flea Circus. Intended for mature audiences.
