Shanghaiist Benefit for Sichuan’s Earthquake Victims

The Deal: BBQ with sausages, burgers, chicken kebabs, short ribs, salad bar, AND free flow Stella Artois beer. Veggie options will also be available.

Cost: 180rmb (100% of proceeds, NOT profit, will be donated). That means every jiao of the 180rmb will go the charity - thanks to Sasha’s, their meat supplier, Glory, and Stella Artois’ generous donations!

Charity: China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (We chose this organization because it was recommended by the American Chamber of Commerce and is known for it’s long term development work as well as emergency relief.)

Reason to join: We know many people may have benefit fatigue (if there is such a thing) after a weekend chockfull of wonderful events. However, everyone needs to eat dinner on a Wednesday night and, did I mention, the free flow Stella Artois? Also, it’s the right thing to do.

Bonus: We will hold a raffle for prizes that have kindly been donated for our Earthquake Benefit. Example of prizes are Howard Johnson Hotel suite vouchers, private golf lessons, restaurant coupons, cases of beer, and, everyone’s favorite, Shanghaiist t-shirts! (We still need more donations for prizes.)
